Author Panel
If you have a new book out since the last Handsprings (2016) and want to promote it, email Shirley at newmexico-ara@scbwi.org to be included in the panel. You’ll have a chance to talk about your book, show it, and answer questions from the moderator.
Meals
Lunch at the Bosque Center is included in the tuition price for all participants, and you have the choice for an optional breakfast for an additional cost. Vegetarian options are available. If you need gluten free, email Shirley Duke at newmexico-ara@scbwi.org.
Book Sales
On Saturday, we will have a bookstore available to sell professional books and books by conference speakers and other attendees who are members of SCBWI. If you would like the bookstore to carry your book, register by September 26 to allow time for ordering. Books must be in print and available. SCBWI-NM does not guarantee that your books will be on hand, but the handouts will include a list of published authors attending the conference. Please email your titles (no more than three) to Sharon Sivinski (scbwi.nm.elerts@gmail.com) by September 26.
Housing
Rooms are available at the Bosque Retreat Center for Friday and/or Saturday night for $65.80 per night. Please email Shirley at newmexico-ara@scbwi.org if you would like accommodations and include which nights you’ll be staying. Payment will be due upon arrival. *Note: You will need to pay by check or cash upon arrival since we’ll have to pay the Bosque Retreat Center that day and have no way to handle credit cards.
The rooms are modest, but comfortable. They include a single bed, in-room sink, and centrally-located showers and baths.
