Fireside Reading

Bring a short manuscript, excerpt, or published book to share at Saturday night’s fireside reading. Plan to read for no more than five minutes. (1-2 pages. Please test your reading in advance.) This is for applause, not critique!

Community Snack Kitchen

Bring your favorite snacks to share. A refrigerator is available. SCBWI-NM will provide coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Book Sales

Attendees may bring copies of books they have written and/or illustrated to sell at the Retreat Book Sale. You are responsible for collecting money and sales tax.

Silent Auction

Homemade goodies, artwork, original note cards, books, jewelry, white elephant gifts… these are all examples of items for the Silent Auction. Bring something to donate and cash to spend! This is a great fundraiser for SCBWI-NM and a chance to start early on your holiday shopping.
